Rocket V8 gave Oldsmobile a reputation for performance that in its day was hard to beat with it's single Rochester four barrel carburettor. The unusual angle of the `jukebox` dash was busy with chrome curves and buttons galore. Although the `Dashing 88` gave so much comfort and luxury to its owner it has been said there was a slight problem concerning body roll in hard cornering but with the beauty the Oldsmobile gave the highways - I think it can be forgiven.
