The model is of a Fighter Group 11 car, denoted by the front wing and rear badges. The vehicle type is shown on the door, RAF 1605 being passenger cars. The yellow with black 2 is the maximum weight when loaded for bridge crossing. The roundels are purely for recognition. The shiny blue RAF livery was used until August 1941 when all vehicles had to be changed to camouflage livery and a matt finish. Many more Vauxhalls would have been used for staff cars but the factory was so busy making Military hardware such as the Bedford trucks, producing 250,000 during the war as well as tanks and other items.
